Brent Forsberg, the President of T.A. Forsberg Inc., a local development company rooted in the Lansing area, has over 25 years of experience in the real estate industry. Having contributed to projects worth over $250 million across Michigan, Brent believes that development extends beyond real estate—it’s about enhancing how people live in the communities they call home.

Currently pursuing a Ph.D., Brent’s focus lies in understanding and implementing strategies for building regenerative futures in local communities. As a third-generation developer in a construction family, he emphasizes the importance of aligning development with community values. His company concentrates on residential housing, emphasizing not just the homes but also the overall community experience, including businesses and green spaces.

Throughout his career, Brent has been active on many industries and non-profit boards including the National Homebuilders Sales and Marketing Council, the City of Mason Downtown Development Authority, and the Mason Chamber of Commerce Board, Lansing March of Dimes, The Lansing Economic Area Partnership (LEAP) board, and is the 2020 President of the Greater Lansing Homebuilders Association. He is also active on many committees working on transportation issues, education, workforce development, and promotion of the arts.

Brent also talked about the crucial issue of housing affordability and sees Michigan as a potential model state. He advocates for responsible land use, infilling spaces, and utilizing existing areas to build affordable housing without compromising agricultural land.
