Today’s Guest: Beth Herendeen, owner of Twiggies, a fresh floral studio and retail boutique that brings fresh ideas in all aspects of gift giving.
Beth started Twiggies almost 30 years ago in downtown Dewitt, Michigan, and moved her shop to Old Towne, Lansing, a little over two years ago.
Twiggies is a beautiful eclectic mix of a full-service florist, event and wedding planning, and general store featuring home goods, women’s clothing, jewelry, Michigan-made products, candle, sassy things, and so much fun.
If you haven’t been to Twiggies, we highly encourage you to stop in and loiter.
Besides being a long-standing Lansing area business owner, Beth is also an ordained wedding officiant. She conducts all types of ceremonies. “Love is Love” after all!
One of the things Beth and her floral studio are known for is giving high-touch attention and comfort to those grieving and dealing with the loss of a loved one. Florists are called to provide arrangements for funerals and celebrations of life. However, Beth’s clients get so much more than pretty flowers. Her compassion and personal experience with loss enable her to truly be present for those grieving.
Beth recently joined the board of the Old Town Commercial Association and is getting even more involved in her community.
Twiggies offers many different types of classes throughout the year. Coming up soon is their very popular Giving Thanks arrangements and wreath-making classes. Beth encourages people who are interested in these classes to follow Twiggies on Facebook and sign up as soon as the classes are announced – they fill up fast and sell out.
